The annual "Wan Chai Summer Chronicles" has specially made "Summer Arena" a permanent program this summer vacation. From now until September 28 at the Wan Chai Waterfront Activity Space, seven interactive events will be held, including Frisbee golf, cycling, trampoline, football, basketball, golf and bowling, as well as two creative "Panda Photo Zone" and "Summer Photo Hotspot" check-in installations, bringing a fun summer event to families and tourists.
In addition, "Wan Chai Summer Chronicles" will also hold 25 special pop-up programs related to culture, music, dance and sports on specific days during the period, fully showcasing the diverse landscape of Wan Chai's waterfront activity space. The Wan Chai waterfront event space, which faces Victoria Harbour and has convenient transportation, covers an area of approximately 13,300 square meters and is one of the new landmark venues for large-scale events in Hong Kong. It is only a few minutes' walk from the MTR Convention and Exhibition Station or Wan Chai Ferry Pier.
In addition to the "Summer Arena", "Wan Chai Summer News" will hold special programmes on selected weekends and days, including the energetic sports programme "Five-a-side Baseball Power Happy Hour", "The Baseball Cup Flash Five-a-side Baseball Tournament - The 1st Hong Kong High Five Five-a-side Baseball Championship Pre-event 1.0", "Smart Table Tennis Challenge Station", "Summer Frenzy Dodgeball: Single-ball Dodgeball Competition and Experience", "Summer Frenzy Dodgeball: Double-ball Dodgeball Competition and Experience", "14th Hong Kong Children's Balance Bike Championship", "[Jockey Club Active City Project] Street Muscle Challenge", "Bicycle Circuit Race and Points Race - Wan Chai Waterfront", "Sunlight Cup Balance Bike Circuit Race and Points Race - Wan Chai Waterfront", "Bicycle Obstacle Race - Wan Chai Waterfront" and "Fun Art Parent-Child Sports Meet".
Of course, there will be many music programmes for everyone to enjoy, including "Tseung Kwan O Joint School Busking", "Little Singers Summer Concert", "Famous Academy Student Performance", "Junjiang Music Summer Gala", "Summer Parent-Child Music Festival 2025", "Star School Tour Twinkling Star Show 2025", "Shengsheng Charity Music Show" and "Afternoon Music: The Story of Cantonese Songs". Passionate dance performances such as "FJDC Korean Wave Dance Festival 2025-2026" and "Dancing Midsummer" are also worth looking forward to. Cultural programs that young artists love include the "Expressive Arts Mind, Body and Spirit Health Cultural Festival - "The Expression of Home" Expressive Arts Workshop and Collective Art Creation (Exhibited at Osaka Expo)", the "Expressive Arts Mind, Body and Spirit Health Cultural Festival - "Calling" Sunset Concert (Preview at Osaka Expo Station)" and the "2025 Sri Lanka Food Festival", which allow everyone to understand the value of mental health and the colors of different cultures.
"Wan Chai Summer Show: Summer Arena" Resident Program
1. "Summer Flying" Frisbee Golf Game
Participants stand at designated positions, aim at the receiving frame in the distance, throw the flying saucer hard and hit the target. It is easy and fun.
2. "Summer Circle" Cycling Game
Up to five people can participate at the same time. Participants sit on the large bicycle ring and pedal together to make the entire bicycle ring rotate, experiencing team rhythm and the fun of sports.
3. "Summer Adventure" trampoline game
Participants enter the inflatable trampoline facility, pass through each level in sequence, and enjoy the joy of jumping in mid-air.
4. "Summer Ball Battle" football game
Players are divided into two teams and stand at the edge of the table, using their feet to control the ball under the table to play against each other, trying to kick the ball into the opponent's goal area.
5. Summer Swing Golf Game
With a powerful swing, you can send the golf ball into the hole and experience the coolest sports challenge in the city.
6. Summer Bowling
Experience bowling in an open-air environment.
7. "Summer Slam Dunk" basketball game
Stand still and shoot towards the basket, aiming to become a sharpshooter.
8. "Panda Photo Zone" Check-in Device
There is an inflatable panda-shaped check-in spot, which is suitable for families and friends to take photos together and leave beautiful memories.
9. "Summer Hotspot" Check-in Installation
Take photos freely in the designated area, use the wide-angle lens and shooting equipment set up on site to create different visual effects, and easily take photos with your own personal style.

Tseung Kwan O Joint School Busking

Bands from several secondary schools in Tseung Kwan O took to the Wan Chai waterfront to showcase their youthful spirit. In addition to individual band performances, there will also be crossover performances from various schools.
Futsal Power Happy Hour

The Hong Kong Baseball Association of China will hold a five-a-side baseball event on the Wan Chai waterfront, where there will be pitching and batting experiences, and professional baseball players will also be on hand to demonstrate; anyone can also come and try the fun of baseball.

Five-a-side baseball is a new sport that can be played anytime and anywhere with just a rubber ball. Wan Chai Xia Zhi welcomes the "Baseball Cup" flash five-a-side baseball match. As a pre-event for the first Hong Kong High Five Baseball Championship, the players' performance is worth looking forward to. There is also a baseball experience area on site to encourage participation from all citizens.
Smart Ping Pong Challenge Station

Combining technology with traditional sports makes table tennis practice more interesting. Children and adults can try out the smart ball serving machine, challenge themselves to serve at different speeds and spins, and even compete on the scoreboard; free coaching is also available on site.

The Summer Frenzy Dodgeball will have two types of competitions over two consecutive days: single-ball and double-ball dodgeball. Single-ball dodgeball emphasizes individual skills and reactions, while double-ball dodgeball emphasizes teamwork and strategy. Each is exciting in its own way. There will be booth activities on site to test everyone's reaction, accuracy and strength. There will also be a dodgeball experience area guided by Hong Kong team members, allowing adults and children to experience the fun of dodgeball competition.

Home means different things to different people. The Hong Kong Expressive Arts Therapy Service Centre will lay out canvases at the Wan Chai waterfront activity space, inviting visitors to paint the homes in their hearts. The works will also be exhibited at the Osaka Expo in July this year to interact with local participants. Anyone can participate in this cross-regional collective art creation.
The 14th Hong Kong Children's Balance Bike Championship

Visitors can cheer for the contestants aged two to eight, and children can also experience the fun of riding a balance bike themselves.
Little Singers Summer Concert

Station Studio brings a group of young singers aged three to twelve to perform classical, pop and Disney songs for the audience. Everyone came to the scene to give the young singers the greatest encouragement.
[Jockey Club Active City Project] Street Muscle Challenge

Organised by the Hong Kong Youth Association, the Jockey Club Active City Project Street Muscle Challenge, which tours across Hong Kong and Kowloon, has come to the Harbour View in Wan Chai, inviting adults and children to participate in the three major challenges of "Giant Fast Stacking Cup", "Powerful Arm Bar" and "Rope Skipping". While having fun, you can also test your physical condition.

Sri Lanka Food Festival 2025

Organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Hong Kong, the event will feature food stalls demonstrating cooking of Sri Lankan curry, pancakes and desserts. Visitors can also try traditional Sri Lankan delicacies such as hoppers, kottu, string hoppers and experience the local food culture. There were also traditional singing and dancing performances and children's face painting stalls on site.
Cycling lap race and points race - Wan Chai Waterfront

Soul Star Academy, founded by former Hong Kong Cycling Team athletes, will host cycling events on the Wan Chai waterfront, including age-specific lap races and sprint points races. Drivers not only have to go all out, but also show explosive power in the mid-race sprint lap to win extra points and strive for the final victory. A special children's experience area is set up on site to allow children to experience the charm of cycling.

A group of K-pop dancers are ready to go, and as soon as the music starts, they will ignite the whole audience with solo and group dances; the finale will also have a K-pop random cover dance, allowing everyone to dance together.
Sunlight Cup Balance Bike Lap Race and Points Race - Wan Chai Waterfront

The Sunlight Cup Balance Bike Circuit Race gathers a group of young drivers aged two to six, who weave in and out on the winding track to grab the best route and compete for higher points. There is also a balance bike obstacle course at the same venue, allowing the young drivers to show their prowess.
Junjiang Music Summer Gala

Junjiang Music Summer Gala brings wonderful performances by string instruments, wind instruments and choir. Many classic folk songs and classical music offer the audience a unique outdoor classical orchestral experience with melodious and intoxicating music.
Summer Family Music Festival 2025

From nursery rhymes and string music to stunning Taiko performances, let children and adults immerse themselves in music together. Dancing in the Summer

Bicycle Obstacle Race - Wan Chai Waterfront
